Ms. Blank Ortega graduated from Santa Maria University with a degree in Law (1993). She furthered her education with a postgraduate degree in Criminal Law (2007) and University Teaching (2001). She served as public defender for 20 years, working as general coordinator for public defenders, regional coordinator of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas, 60th Criminal Public Defender with jurisdiction over flagrante delicto matters of the Criminal Judicial Circuit of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas.

While serving in the Judiciary, Ms. Blank Ortega worked as associate counsel II of the Superior Court for the Preservation of Public Heritage of the Judicial Circumscription of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas, acting clerk of the 44 th Trial Criminal Court of the Judicial Circumscription of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas, assistant to the 24 th Higher Criminal Court of the Judicial Circumscription of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas. She has taken different courses and workshops on criminal law.
